Paris Hilton calls Princess Diana an idol and says she supports Prince Harry

Paris Hilton may not be British royalty, but many would call her Hollywood royalty. She has another thing in common with Prince Harry that has been making the press lately: she has written a memoir. (Its name is Paris: opens in a new tab). Harry's book, Spare, was released in January and became the fastest-selling nonfiction book in history.

In one of his recent interviews on the British program "Magic Radio Breakfast," Hilton admitted that he, too, had read "Spare" and that he and his wife Meghan Markle's Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan" She admitted that she had seen "Harry & Meghan," a Netflix documentary about Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. She revealed that she is a huge fan of Harry's and said, "He has been through so much and I can't imagine losing my mother. Princess Diana has always been my hero."

Anyone who remembers Hilton's heyday in the early to mid-2000s knows that she can relate to Harry when it comes to media scrutiny and paparazzi harassment.

"I know how to deal with the media," she says. Harry has lived that way his whole life."

The similarities continue as Hilton recalls that Harry was dealing with personal issues by going through a partying period at about the same time that she was doing the same thing across the ocean; OK says, "Hilton has told me that her uninhibited and seemingly goofy behavior was an act to hide the trauma she experienced while growing up. It was only in the last few years that she revealed that it was an act to hide the trauma she had experienced growing up," the report said. Hilton said she was "raped, drugged, sexually and physically abused in boarding school in Utah, and forced to have a relationship with a teacher in eighth grade." She first revealed these experiences in the 2020 documentary This Is Paris and opened up further in her new book.

Although it was not easy to be vulnerable, Hilton said she found that doing so liberated her and proved helpful to others.

"It set me on a path of self-discovery and allowed me to see how much of an impact I had, especially in the troubled teen industry. 'Since then, it's been incredibly empowering. The media has controlled the story about me for over 20 years.

Paris Hilton and Prince Harry have proven that even if we don't immediately recognize each other on the surface, we all have more in common than initially meets the naked eye, and I have high hopes that PH+PH will soon meet for coffee in L.A. and become new friends.
