Historian Says Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Will Be "Out of Control" Sidelined if They Attend Coronation

It may come as a shock, but the first British coronation in over 70 years is not a play-acting event.

As anyone would expect, it is in fact a tightly rehearsed choreography, with no room for outside input.

It has yet to be confirmed whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend the May 6 event, but one royal historian warns that even if they do come, they will not be able to dictate how the day unfolds.

"Harry and Meghan have no control over how this event will take place.

"The rehearsal schedule will be very intense. Everything will be organized down to the second, including the development of the event and the roles of the performers"

.

"Even if Harry and Meghan do attend on the day, they will be on the fringes of the event."

The Sussexes recently issued a statement confirming that they had indeed been invited and that "the Duke can confirm that he recently received an email communication from Her Majesty's office regarding the coronation."

"No immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will be disclosed by us at this time."

According to sources, Archie's birthday falls on the day of the coronation, so he would like some form of recognition; he would like to stay with Princess Eugenie at Frogmore instead of Buckingham Palace; and he would like to stand on the balcony with the rest of the royal family.

Somehow I doubt very much that all of that will happen, but maybe that's just me.
