Meghan Markle feels excluded from coronation plans and is reportedly upset that the palace is only contesting Prince Harry's attendance

With the release of Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, last month, Harry has been devoting ample time to the news, either on his own initiative or through endless chatter about the memoir's contents, including several interviews to promote the book. Meghan Markle, for her part, has been quiet, leaving Harry to share the limelight for the most part. However, several news outlets have reported that Meghan feels left out of King Charles' coronation plans and feels she is being put on the back burner while the palace struggles to get Harry to attend the May 6 ceremony.

The Daily Mail writes that Meghan feels "excluded" and that "as a result, she and Prince Harry may not attend." According to friends, they are "in limbo" and are considering "a million variables" as to whether or not they will attend.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, concerns about security and the "sharp decline" in popularity since the publication of Spare may keep Harry and Meghan at home in California. (May 6 is also their son Archie's fourth birthday, which could further complicate matters.) The Telegraph also reports that Harry wants to be by his father's side on "almost the most important day" in Charles' life, but insiders claim it is a "complicated" decision: if he does not go, he will be accused of "snubbing" the family, but if he goes, he will be "booed and or risk being labeled hypocrites."

Harry and Meghan's friends say they haven't made any decisions until they receive formal invitations, and "only then will they decide whether to go to the historic event together or whether Harry will attend without Meghan," reports the Daily Mail. 'It is possible that neither will attend. Whether one or both attend, the visit will be "brief."

"They have no insight," my friend says." They will cross that bridge when it comes."

The Daily Express reports that Meghan is "upset" because the palace appears to be "fighting just for Harry" to attend her father's big day.

"Meghan is upset and overwhelmed," royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told Fox News. 'It's not that Meghan feels excluded from the plans. Meghan feels like the palace is only fighting for Prince Harry's attendance and doesn't care if he comes or not. That doesn't sit well with her."

Scofield added, "Rejection is one of Meghan's biggest fears. She doesn't want to be booed or humiliated on a global scale, but she understands that being close to the royal family will enhance her brand value in the United States.

Royal family writer Christopher Andersen also told Fox News, "Harry and Meghan are increasingly likely to withdraw from the coronation. There are certainly security concerns and the possibility that the Sussexes could be booted out big time. Harry and Meghan are still licking their wounds from being sidelined at the Queen's funeral. It is hard to believe that they will have to suffer that kind of public humiliation again, especially on Archie's birthday"

.

However, despite multiple claims that Meghan feels excluded from the coronation, sources reportedly "close to Meghan" told the Mirror that those allegations and Meghan's "embarrassment" over the contents of Spare, including an anecdote about Harry losing his virginity The allegations surrounding the book are "ridiculous" and "nothing more than lies."
