Kourtney Kardashian Launches Vagina Gummies and People, Including Doctors, Are Outraged

BREAKING: The Kardashian family is creating controversy with their new product launch. This is because the word "controversy" has literally never been used in a sentence with the Kardashian family's name. Not when Kim told people they could "just try harder," not when she cut in line at Disneyland, not when she was repeatedly accused of cultural appropriation.

Sarcasm aside, here's the latest: Kourtney Kardashian has launched a new "vaginal health gummy" in her Lemme line of vitamins and supplements called Lemme Purr. The gummies are claimed to "support freshness and taste."

Predictably, people quickly began condemning the move in the comments section of the Courts.

Ali Rodriguez, M.D., an obstetrician-gynecologist known as a Latina Doc, said, "I am a gynecologist. This is different. Please don't give your money away. This is not necessary."

Others wrote, "This makes no sense."

Another wrote, "Another example of selling a woman an unnecessary project and making her so anxious that she buys it."

Another wrote, "Although not FDA certified, these gummies are not fruit snacks: 'It is misogony to weaponize the patriarchy for profit. Spreading misinformation about women's health is vile," they said.

Dr. Shirin Lakhani, a UK-based practitioner and intimate health expert, also commented on Lemme Purr, advising people not to buy the product.

"No vagina is odorless, nor should it be. If the odor is offensive or irritating, contact your doctor," says Dr. Lakhani.

"This product suggests that women need to give off a certain odor, which is not normal and may also lead women to be concerned about their vaginal odor. [The vagina is self-cleaning. There is no need for sprays, steamed towels, or perfume."

Dr. Lakhani does not believe gummy bears are dangerous, but simply unnecessary.

"While gummy bears will not directly upset the vaginal pH balance, I recommend turning to foods that help maintain 'good bacteria' in the body, such as live bio-yogurt, fermented foods like sauerkraut, unfiltered apple cider, and kefir, a yogurt/milk drink." She advises.

"There is a huge market for feminine care. However, our vagina is a sensitive area and is also wonderfully self-cleaning. Other than a healthy diet, we don't need any special supplements."

"We can use a variety of products to help us cleanse our vagina.

"And in fact, over-cleaning and dowsing with perfumed products can upset the delicate balance that keeps us healthy. This can lead to infections and affect one's sex life.

"Our vagina is a sensitive area; it is recommended that we wash it with water once a day and avoid perfumes, dyes, preservatives, and harsh chemicals."
