Prince Harry and family reconciliation unlikely 'in the short term,' royal expert insists
The royal family remains divided.
In the aftermath of Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, and his Netflix documentary with Meghan Markle, bridges between Prince Harry and his family are unlikely to be built, at least in the immediate future, say royal experts.
"In the short term, I don't see any chance of reconciliation between the Sussex family and the rest of the family," royal correspondent Charles Rae told Marie Claire on behalf of Spin Genie.
"A lot of blame has been placed by Harry and Meghan, but many families have fallen out and in many cases reconciled, sometimes years later."
"Time is said to be a great healer, and one day it may happen."

For Rae, the damage is unilateral.
"I think reconciliation requires a lot of apologies, especially from Harry and Meghan," he continues.
"I don't think Charles, Camilla, William, or Princess Catherine have anything to apologize for. I think Harry's arguments in the book 'Spare' have been grossly distorted by him. Also, it is difficult to repair a relationship when you participate in a Netflix series that bashes the Royal Family."
The Duke of Sussex made many of his grievances against the royal family public in a big, flamboyant way that must have been damaging, but it seems unfair to claim that while he was growing up, and especially after meeting his wife, the royal family did not hurt him much either. Of course, in the absence of an official response from Prince Charles and Prince William, we do not know the full truth.
As for whether the Sussexes are likely to attend King Charles' coronation, Rae says, "Given the history, it would be very difficult for both Harry and Meghan to attend the coronation."
"Having said that, I think they will be invited. I remember after the Oprah interview they were invited to the Platinum Jubilee. [21] [22] "But since the same day is Archie's fourth birthday, they have the perfect excuse not to come. They may choose to stay in California to celebrate it instead". We shall see.
