Jessica Chastain Shines Like a Spider's Web (Very Chic) at the Golden Globes
The Golden Globes, known as the official kickoff to the 2023 awards season, have finally arrived.
The Marie Claire cover star (opens in new tab), nominated for her performance in "George and Tammy," wore an Oscar de la Renta gown on this year's very rainy Los Angeles red carpet. Oscar-winning actress Elizabeth Stewart, styled for tonight's event, wore an array of structured and shiny looks (see: her lavender gown from the 2022 Oscars red carpet (opens in new tab)) stranger but the same goes for tonight's ensemble.
The gown is made of layers of crystal-coated fabric over an elaborate netted mesh bodice and sheer skirt. Accompanied by a coordinating netted face mask, the look can only be seen in a series of photos posted on Stewart's Instagram page. (Open in new tab)
With a dress as eye-catching as this, Stewart chose to keep Chastain's other accessories simple: the actress wore only a few oversized Gucci rings, no other jewelry, and Casadei s matching gold platform heels.
Her beauty look was equally sophisticated. Makeup artist Christopher Buckle kept her skin matte yet radiant with rosy tones, sharp black winged eyeliner, and soft pink lips. Hairstylist Renato Campola styled her iconic red hair into a French-inspired updo.
