Prince Harry needed a drink or two after "Spare" release
Prince Harry appeared on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" on Tuesday to promote his memoir, Spare.
"You've written a very intimate memoir, which I've read, and it's fascinating and a very good read on its own," Colbert said while welcoming guests.
He added, "I know that you are a very private person for being a public figure yourself. You have revealed much here. Publicly and physically expressing this book must involve a certain amount of tension ....... How about a cocktail before we get started?"
Prince Harry leaned forward and said to Colbert.
The host then produced a bottle of tequila and began pouring it generously over himself and his guest. Then they both squeezed more lime before they began to drink.
This was not the only time during the TV show that Harry admitted he needed a little courage.
On one occasion, Colbert asked him, " Can you explain how the Royal Standard got frostbite?"
And. (As reported by The Independent, in Spare, the Duke of Sussex details the time he realized he had a "frostbitten penis.")
Laughing, Harry replied, "I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do that. Can I have a drink?"
He replied.
Then he said: "It's quite a leap from grief and trauma to my toddy."
He then said.
During the program, the two men specifically discussed Harry's late mother, Diana, and his service experience in Afghanistan.
