Whenever Katie Holmes goes out to various events in New York City, she always looks impeccably fashionable.

Ever since *that* cardigan-set moment, I've been a big fan of everything the actress wears (yes, even the controversial dress and jeans incident), and one of her latest outfits definitely ticks all the boxes for me.

Holmes wore an oversized black leather coat from TOVE, sparkly champagne-colored wide-leg pants from Kallmeyer, super shiny pointy silver wedges, Savette (opens in new tab), and ) green suede clutch bag.

Thanks to the mismatched colors and textures, her look was definitely not textbook, but I say it works.

Holmes wore her black hair down and simple but elegant makeup.

The actress appeared on GMA to discuss her new off-Broadway show, The Wanderers.

"I love this play. Very complex characters.

"And [it] really explores human frustration. We all live in the midst of miracles. Just thinking about that is a wonderful thing. It takes you away from your own life for a minute. But it takes time to get there. [It's] a beautifully written piece and I'm very excited about it. I love working with the actors I work with, and it's wonderful to be on stage."
