Prince William and Princess Kate celebrate their wedding anniversary with their latest romantic outing.
After spending quality time as a family over Christmas, it seems that the Welsh couple needed to spend a little romantic time as a couple.
The perfect opportunity came in the form of an Aston Martin DBX707, which Prince William was gifted for a weekend test drive while he and Princess Kate were in Norfolk for the vacations.
The prince apparently took his wife out in this luxury sports car, which the Sun reported is the fastest SUV in the world in its Welsh-made model. According to one source, this made Wills feel like a certain 007 agent.
"The car delivery was an operation worthy of the Secret Service in itself. It was very top secret," a source told The Sun,
"But he was seen in the back driving buzzing down the tight, winding country roads of North Norfolk."
The royal family spent Christmas at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, and the Welsh couple also have a country house at Anmer Hall in eastern England.
By the way, the choice of cars the royal couple test-drove is an important one.
"It is no coincidence that the car was made in Wales by Welsh workers," the source continued.
Furthermore, "William had the Aston all weekend. He experienced life like James Bond for a few days."
"The only difference was that unlike 007, William had to return the car after the weekend."
But the fact that the car was manufactured in Wales was not the only reason it was a particularly fitting date choice for William and Kate. The former also drove his wife in an Aston Martin on their wedding day in 2011, right after they exchanged vows. Many memories.
