Prince Harry's claim that "the royals showed no willingness to reconcile" is "complete nonsense," says official.

Prince Harry has given two long-awaited interviews ahead of the January 10 release of his memoirs. In one of them, a trailer with Tom Bradby of Britain's ITV, the Duke of Sussex says he has "no intention of reconciling" with his father and brother.

However, royal officials are now denying Harry's claims, calling them "utter nonsense."

For their part, the Sussexes were "always welcome" to spend Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham, despite the growing distance between the US-based royal family and other families.

"It takes audacity to say that when his father invited him to his home when he was in the UK, invited him to spend Christmas with other families, and kept making public statements of support," a source told the Mirror.

"It's outrageous.

Indeed, it was previously reported that the Sussexes would not be staying at Sandringham this year despite being invited, and some attempt at reconciliation was made when Prince William and Princess Kate invited Harry and Meghan for a walk in Windsor after the Queen's death The Mirror further reported that Prince Charles invited the Sussexes twice to Highgrove Manor last year and once to Scotland in the summer.

Given this, it should be noted that Harry's claim of "willingness to reconcile" is expressed without context in the trailer, and we do not know what, in his eyes, constitutes an attempt at reconciliation.

Both sides are telling the truth as they see it, but it is very likely (and quite likely) that there are communication problems in the process. Whatever the situation, royal experts expect the Sussexes to attend Prince Charles' coronation, but one commentator sees a possibility that Prince William may prevent them from attending. We will find out in due course.
