Experts say Prince George and Prince Louis' body language is reminiscent of the former days of Prince William and Prince Harry
Amid the ongoing tension between Prince William and Prince Harry, a touching moment between the brothers witnessed when Prince George and Prince Louis, along with other family members, participated in the traditional Christmas walk to St. Mary Magdalen Church in Sandringham was particularly poignant. Judy James, a body language expert, told the Mirror that it reminded her of the once-young, once-detached William and Harry. [The moment happened, James says, when George put his hand on Louis' back. The signal between the brothers was a "mirror image" of William and Harry at similar ages (George was 9 and Louis was 4), long before they and the rest of the world envisioned their relationship as it is today.
"One of the sweetest and most poignant body language signals," says James, "was the way George used the ritual of touch, talking, and bending to show that he was the protector and 'watchdog' of his brother Louis." When the family arrived at the church, William put out his hand to touch George's back and leaned toward his oldest son, but George had already used the same ritual on his smaller, rather playful brother."
There was no way William could have missed this parallel, James says. "The gesture seemed so natural, as if this was a role he often assumed, and after the images of young William and Harry growing up together shown on Harry's Netflix show, reflecting how the sibling relationship took shape before growing up and falling apart It looked like a tragic mirror image. William was then in a mode of caring for Harry, just as George is now treating Louis. That connection could not have gone unnoticed by William."
In addition, James says that the Crown Prince and Princess seem intent on becoming more hands-off parents, as evidenced by their Christmas walk. She says, "William and Kate proudly showed off their children, as they always do, but it was clear that they are becoming 'hands-off' parents as their children gain confidence." Charlotte was pulling ahead as they walked to church, and George went from a rather shy-looking boy who held his father's hand to a big brother who watched over, nurtured, and gave direction to four-year-old Louis."
