Sarah Jessica Parker on her Baguette collaboration with Fendi
[The Fendi baguette was designed to resemble a baguette bought at a boulangerie and carried directly under one's arm. [It was created in 1997 by Silvia Venturini Fendi, granddaughter of Fendi's founder. This classic silhouette has developed an entire story of its own, incorporating many fresh new iterations over its 25-year lifespan. Its purple sequined baguette was the star accessory for Carrie Bradshaw, the protagonist of her Sex and the City. For me, Fendi is about heritage, tradition, quality, creativity, and whimsy," Parker said. [The Fendi baguette] can reflect everyone's personality."To celebrate the bag's quarter century, Parker collaborated with Fendi on a limited-edition baguette collection that puts a slight twist on the iconic style. Twenty-five years later, the Baguette's shape is timeless. The baguette has gained popularity by being both modern and unafraid of change. It is modern and classic without being trendy," says Parker. It was an honor to work with Silvia Venturini Fendi and the Fendi Studio on this project."
Starting today, December 15, Fendi's Baguette collection in collaboration with Sarah Jessica Parker will be available in four different colors, just in time for the holiday season. Sarah Jessica Parker said, "I've never seen so many buckles, so many beautiful colors all at once, and I've never seen so many different colors in one collection. I can't believe Fendi can do something like this," the actress said.
