Prince Charles and Queen Camilla throw a big Christmas party at Sandringham, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not invited.
This year's Christmas at Sandringham is going to be a little different. Aside from the most obvious change, namely that the late Queen is no longer with us, Prince Charles and Queen Camilla are throwing a big Christmas party with a much wider range of relatives than usual, according to the Mirror. Two relatives not on the guest list, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have not had the tension between them and the rest of the royal family cooled by the documentary "Harry & Meghan," just released on Netflix.
"The gathering is believed to be one of the largest the royal family has held in years, as the last two Christmases were hampered by the pandemic," the outlet reported. The guest list included the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children, Zara and Mike Tindall (daughter and son-in-law of Princess Anne, Prince Charles' sister), and for the first time, Camilla's two children, Tom Parker-Bowles and Laura Lopez. Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Countess Sophie of Wessex, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie were also in attendance, and the disgraced Prince Andrew and his former wife Sarah Ferguson were also invited. The Mirror reported that "the family are said to be planning to all walk together to the morning church service as a show of unity."
In addition to Harry & Meghan, Harry's forthcoming memoir, Spare, and its unknown contents will still stand the family in good stead at Christmas, as it will not be released until January 10.
"Camilla is eager for the family to be at the center of Christmas, especially since Charles' youngest son is not there," a source told The Sun in response to a Mirror report. 'We saw the togetherness at the Princess of Wales' carol concert this week, and Christmas will be in the same spirit.'
And Harry & Meghan ...... If you're expecting the royal family to comment on both the eponymous documentary and the two themselves, don't hold your breath; according to the Mirror, a source said, "Amazing claims are being made, but the family is united and determined to maintain dignified silence." The story goes. They will not be dragged into tussles."
