Prince William and Kate Middleton are not watching "Harry & Meghan" on Netflix.
Kudos to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Netflix documentary, titled Harry & Meghan, has been drawing fairly high numbers for the streaming service. However, it is clear that Prince Harry and Princess Meghan Markle are not watching it; People reports that they are having their entourage watch it instead.
"It will be a long time before there is harmony between the brothers," a source close to the royal family told the magazine. 'There is a lot of angst out there.'
Throughout the six-part series, Harry and Meghan talk about their split relationship with William and Catherine, with William in particular taking all the criticism heaped on him by his brother.
Harry says in the series that Buckingham Palace was "willing to lie" to "protect" William, but "never wanted to tell the truth" about him and Princess Meghan. Harry also blames his brother for breaking his promise to never leak negative stories about each other to the press, and candidly describes William's explosive temper tantrum at the family's 2020 Sandringham Summit over Harry and Meghan's decision to step down as members of the royal family. He details.
"The saddest part was that it drove a wedge between myself and my brother," Harry says.
Princess Meghan also complained bitterly to William, who seemed upset to learn that his brother-in-law's public relations secretary had given a last-minute witness interview in a lawsuit against a British newspaper." I don't mean to speak for your brother, but it's clear (that William authorized the statement)."
"William and Kate's aides are explaining the show, but don't expect the couple to sit at the cottage with popcorn and watch it themselves," a source told Page Six.
Remember when we thought "The Crown" would be Netflix's worst blow to the royal family?
