Lizzy Caplan is "all for" Lindsay Lohan's comeback and would love to be a part of the "Mean Girls" reboot.
I honestly don't know what more Tina Fey needs to do to start planning a new "Mean Girls" movie. (What I'm saying, anyway, is that half of the cast of "Mean Girls" has said they are not keen on the idea of filming a reboot or planning to reprise their roles with Lindsay Lohan while she returns to acting. Now if only Faye would write an engaging new script.
The latest "Mean Girls" star to admit that she would do a sequel to the cult teen movie if asked to do so is Lizzy Caplan, who played the unforgettable "art freak" Janice Ian, one of Cady Herron's first friends at North Shore High.
"Of course I want to be in it. I'd be a fool not to participate," Caplan said in a new interview with Grazia USA, which has her on its cover as the star of the new miniseries "Fleishman Is in Trouble."
Still, she said she doesn't think a sequel is necessarily necessary at this point. But to me, I feel like "Mean Girls" had a really good beginning, middle, and end. I don't know what's left," she explained.
This talk of a "Mean Girls" revival surfaced when Lohan made a big comeback on the small screen with Netflix's Falling for Christmas.
Lohan herself (Cady Heron) and Lacey Chabert (Gretchen Weiners) have said they would probably do it, and Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels) has said he would love to shoot a Christmas movie with Lohan.
Meanwhile, Caplan is super supportive of the former costar. She told Grazia, "I'm all for Lindsay Lohan coming back."
"I'm just so excited. She was such a great talent when she was a kid and young adult, so it's nice to have her back."
