Netflix has a new mega-hit series with a stellar cast. Wednesday, executive produced by Tim Burton and based on the Addams Family, beat out the final season of Stranger Things to become the most-watched English-language series debut on streaming Netflix's series about a Wednesday who becomes a teenager. Adams (Wednesday Addams) as he enters Nevermore Academy for fangs, fur, scales, stoners, psychics, and other extreme outcasts in need of an education. Upon entering, the pigtailed heroine lands at the center of a mystery surrounding a serial killer monster and the small town's colonial past.

The cast of "Wednesday" is led by Jenna Ortega, who plays the perfect Wednesday, and includes a stellar lineup of people from "Game of Thrones" and the actress who made the character a pop culture icon in the 1990s. Let us introduce you to some of the people behind the series.

Modeled after the eldest daughter of a classic cartoon family, now a teenager, Wendesday is dark, brooding, and loves all things psychologically disturbing. She is a rebellious teenager, defending those she never admits to loving. In fact, after exacting revenge for her brother, she enrolls in Nevermore Academy, where she becomes entangled in the mysteries of her past.

Ortega, 20, began her career as a child actor and had a recurring role as Young Jane on The CW's Jane the Virgin. She starred in the Disney Channel series "Stuck in the Middle" and voiced Princess Elena in the animated series "Elena of Avalor". More recently, she played Ellie in Season 2 of You, starred in the drama film The Fallout, and has appeared in a string of horror films, including Scream, X, and American Carnage.

The gorgeous Morticia Adams is the matriarch of the Adams family and former queen bee of Nevermore Academy, where she met her husband Gomez. She is a rebellious Wednesday mother, but she has a secret. [She has appeared in television and film, including "Mask of Zorro" in 1998, "High Fidelity" in 2000, and "Traffic. She is best known for her role as Velma Kelly in the musical "Chicago" and has recently appeared in the Ryan Murphy miniseries "Feud" and the FOX series "Prodigal Son."

Gomez is Morticia's loving husband and caring father on Wednesdays. He still loves his wife as passionately as he did as a teenager.

Guzman's prolific career began in the 80s, and the Puerto Rican-born actor has appeared on the HBO series Oz, How to Make It in America, the 2004 film adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events, the Netflix He is best known for his appearances in the series "Narcos". Armisen is a longtime actor and comedian who joined "Saturday Night Live" in 2002 and became a regular performer in 2004. He has guest starred on nearly every TV comedy of the past two decades, including "Broad City," "New Girl," "30 Rock," "Bob's Burgers," and "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," as well as creating and starring in several shows.

Principal Weems runs Nevermore with a benevolent iron fist, keeping the peace in her exiled school and in the normal town of Jericho. She is also a former student who always played second fiddle to her roommate, Morticia Adams. Now she has to deal with Wednesday, but she will do anything to keep her position.

After graduating from the London Drama School, Christie rose to fame as Brienne of Tarth, an aspiring knight in "Game of Thrones." She then appeared as Commander Lin in the final Hunger Games film, as Captain Phasma in the recent Star Wars trilogy, and as Lucifer Morningstar in the recent Netflix hit The Sandman. She will next be seen in the second season of the Apple TV+ drama Severance.

Wednesday's new roommate, Enid, is her polar opposite: bubbly, colorful, and a warm ray of sunshine. She is also an outcast among outcasts, a late bloomer but a werewolf with wicked claws. Her efforts to find Wednesday's school spirit don't always work, but the two become fast friends.

Myers, 20, grew up as a community theater kid in Orlando, Florida, where she got steady commercial and voice-over work as a child actor. She then moved to Atlanta, where she appeared in several shows and films, including ABC's The Baker and The Beauty and Lifetime's Girl in the Basement. When Wednesday arrives in Nevermore, she meets Xavier, a popular and mysterious boy she has known since childhood. They take an interest in each other, but Wednesday does not know his true purpose. As for his powers, he is a gifted psychic painter.

White is a Canadian actor who has appeared in films and programs such as NBC's Saving Hope, Hulu's 11.22.63, FOX's The Gifted, and Freevee's Pretty Hard Cases.

Siren Bianca is Nevermore's queen bee, an alpha who quickly clashes with Wednesday (although it doesn't help that she is also Xavier's ex-girlfriend). She also has some fascinating issues of her own, including struggling with her Siren powers and some family secrets.

A native New Yorker, Sunday grew up on Staten Island, graduated from the famed LaGuardia High School, and went to film school at USC, making her television debut in an episode of CBS' "MacGyver," and has appeared in the Netflix series "Dear White People," Hulu's "Good Trouble" and also appeared in the films "Bad Hair" and "Dog." She has also narrated audiobooks such as "Black Panther: Tales of Wakanda."

The matron of the Wednesday dormitory and the only normal member of the Nevermore staff, Ms. Thornhill is played by Rich, who became a 90s icon by playing that character in the films The Addams Family and Addams Family Values. A former child actor, she continued her prolific career as an adult, appearing in the films "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," "Sleepy Hollow," "Penelope," and "Matrix Resurrection." She also currently appears in the thrilling Showtime series "Yellowjackets."

Tyler, a barista, is one of the "Normans" of Jericho, a small town near Nevermore. Many of the town's children bully the outcasts at the boarding school, but Tyler quickly takes a liking to Wednesday. She is equally intrigued by the boy next door who has a troubled past.

Doohan has been acting for over a decade, and his major roles have included playing the son of a judge played by Bryan Cranston in Showtime's "Your Honor" and as a young Aaron Paul in the Apple TV+ anthology Truth Be Told He also played the young Aaron Paul in the Apple TV+ anthology Truth Be Told. McShane grew up in New Jersey and began his acting career in theater and soap operas in New York before moving to L.A. He has guest-starred in most of the well-known shows of the 00s and early 10s, as well as in the Marvel films "Thor" and He also appeared in "The Avengers.
