Kate Middleton's bridal state dinner dress available for purchase.
Princess Kate donned what could be described as her best royal look yet this week as she attended her first official dinner as Princess of Wales.
Welcoming South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to the UK in style, the princess wore glittering jewelry, including her famous sweetheart knot tiara, but the real highlight was her magnificent Jenny Packham gown.
The gown, courtesy of one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham, was a white, clean-lined, floor-length dress with bedazzled shoulder pads and long slit sleeves.
And while I initially thought the number was bridal-adjacent, it turned out to actually be bridal, period. In fact, the biggest news is that it is part of Jenny Packham's current bridal collection, not custom-made for Kate, and available from Kleinfeld Bridal for $5,075.
Obviously, that's a lot of money for a dress, but if you're going to wear it to your own wedding, for example, it can definitely be justified. You really can have a fairy-tale princess wedding! (Sorry, I watch too much Hallmark.)
Commenting on the princess's appearance at the state dinner, body language expert Darren Stanton once told "Marie Claire" magazine, "I think Kate looked every part of the queen. I don't think there has ever been a more striking photograph of a more regal Kate published."
He added, "Comparisons have been made with Princess Diana because Kate was wearing a tiara that Princess Diana also wore.
"I think many would agree that it is a frightening resemblance and reminiscent of the late Princess Diana."
