Princess Kate presents a little boy with a poppy pin - watch the heartwarming moment.
Princess Kate of the United Kingdom devotes much of her philanthropic work to early childhood development.
A mother of three, Princess Kate is always a natural in front of her children, as she was during her latest official engagement.
According to The Independent, while visiting Colham Manor Children's Center in west London on behalf of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, Princess Kate met a little boy named Akeem.
In a video shared on Twitter by a royal fan of Kate's meeting the 3-year-old boy, Akeem can be seen asking him for his royal name.
She tells him, "My name is Catherine," to which he cutely replies, "OK!"
The princess then says, "Nice to meet you!"
he says. Pointing to the poppy pin on her lapel, she asks him, "Do you have a poppy?" I asked him, adding, "How about mine?" He adds.
Akeem says, "I want one," which elicits giggles from the people off camera. Kate, struggling to get the poppy from his coat, tells him, "I'll give you my poppy. 'Here! I'll get it for you."
.
Then Kate says to the boy. 'It's in memory of all the soldiers who died in the war. Here, I give you this. Take care of this! Teacher, or Mom?"
Someone says.
Someone says that Akeem's mother is actually there, and Kate introduces herself to a little girl who was also there.
Traditionally in the UK, poppy pins are worn during Remembrance Month in November to honor the lives lost in war.
The Crown Prince and Princess posted on Instagram about their visit, writing, "This morning was a wonderful first visit with the Maternal Mental Health Alliance and witnessed their work and the benefits their holistic approach brings to so many mothers and families.
"I spent time with the new mothers and gained a better understanding of their mental health experiences and how integrated services are making a real difference in their communities."
