Meghan Markle wants Kate Middleton on her "Archetypes" podcast, apparently.
From Serena Williams to Mariah Carey to Paris Hilton, Meghan Markle's "Archetypes" podcast has drawn in some famous women to unpack the "labels that try to hold women back."
It would certainly make for a compelling conversation. According to royal expert Neal Schon, during Meghan's recent visit to the UK, Meghan asked her sister-in-law to appear on the show, reports the Daily Express.
"While (Meghan) was staying at (Frogmore's) cottage in Windsor, she put in a request to the Duchess of Wales to appear on an upcoming episode of 'Archetypes,'" Sean says. Princess Meghan would be willing to let Kate dominate one episode, he added, as she sometimes has multiple guests in one episode.
Princess Meghan's team believes that having Kate and Meghan in an episode together would boost ratings, according to royal experts.
"When you think about it, it kind of makes sense," Sean says.
"Because in Meghan's eyes, it's in line with the idea of the two duchesses at the time, and of course it speaks to how difficult it is to balance running a family, having a work life, and balancing a career.
According to Sean, the request comes as Princess Meghan feels that her relationship with Kate is "progressing." He says that Meghan and her team at Spotify "haven't heard back yet," but that Meghan "understands that it may be possible to fit it in when Catherine returns to the US for the Earthshot (Awards) Awards later this month." Kate and her husband, Prince William, will be in Boston for the awards on December 2.
This is not Kate's first appearance on the podcast; she was a guest on the "Happy Mum, Happy Baby" podcast in early 2020.
