Drew Barrymore Says She's 'Never Tweaked' Her Face: 'I Don't Want to Fight Nature'
Drew Barrymore speaks candidly about sensitive topics.
On a recent episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," actress Drew Barrymore spoke with fellow movie star Jamie Lee Curtis about aging, and Curtis had strong words to share with Barrymore.
"I hate the term 'anti-aging. ' There's a natural beauty genocide going on, and I don't have to point fingers ...... But there are frauds, fakes, and people selling BS to unsuspecting women. Because we as a society have lost sight of what beauty is. Beauty has become something that can be processed, filtered, injected, skinned, and removed.
Curtis then told Barrymore about attending the Golden Globes, where her husband, Chris Guest, said that Jessica Tandy, then 80, was the most beautiful woman there. She herself was trying to look as young and beautiful as possible that night.
"I've never messed with my face," Barrymore told her. 'I have,' Barrymore told her. Curtis replied.
The "Never Been Kissed" star continued. I'm raising two daughters and I grew up in an industry where you're expected to drink from the fountain of youth. So I appreciate everything you said. So I appreciate everything you've said.
