It was only when we learned the title of Prince Harry's book that the British Royal Family

As is usual in the process of writing this book, Prince Harry kept the title of his forthcoming memoir, Spare, a royal secret. (Spare, of course, is a reference to the oft-repeated nickname associated with Harry, who is lower in the line of succession than his brother Prince William, who is heir to the throne.)

The title and the book's release date - January 10, 2023 - were revealed last week, along with a striking cover image of the Duke of Sussex, according to the Mirror, with royal sources labeling Harry's choice everything from "nuclear" to "confrontational," according to the Daily Mail, One source said the book's title is "loaded and does not bode well."

"The very title indicates yet another confrontational attack on the family after claiming a desire for privacy," another source told the outlet.

"Court lawyers will no doubt be standing by early in the new year to see what's in it. Whatever Harry's claims in his numerous previous TV interviews, this will be the nucleus. It will no doubt be explosive, but there is little chance that it will be the catalyst for a reconciliation between Harry and Meghan."

What else do we know about the book? The book's ghostwriter is J.R. Moehringer, who has also written biographies of tennis pro Andre Agassi and Nike co-founder Phil Knight. According to a new description of the book released by publisher Penguin Random House, the 416-page book, translated into 16 languages, opens with "one of the most poignant images of the 20th century, two boys, two princes, walking behind their mother's coffin as the world watches in grief and fear. One wonders what the princes are thinking and feeling as Princess Diana sleeps." For Harry, this is finally his own story."

Interestingly, the Mirror also reported that the book's website domain name, princeharrymemoir.com, was used by Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, and their children Archie and Lilibet after they met the royal family at the Platinum Jubilee celebration in the UK It also revealed that the wedding was registered on June 21, about two weeks after they returned to California from the U.K.
