Meghan Markle is a royal "loose cannon," royal experts claim.

A royal expert said the royal family views Meghan Markle as a "loose cannon" because of the freedom she and Prince Harry have gained since ending their roles as senior royals.

"I think the royal family is trying to control what individual members of the family do in terms of publicity," she said.

"And I think they tried to control what Harry and Meghan did when they were in the family."

Incidentally, this is largely responsible for the Sussexes' initial departure: they ostensibly did not like the way things were done in the organization and the little freedom they had to be themselves.

"But now that they have left the country as active royalty," Sacerdoti continued, "I think they clearly have less control over them. [For the royal family, at least, Princess Meghan may be a loose cannon.

Since establishing themselves in Montecito, the royal lovebirds have given all-confessional interviews and announced a number of media projects, including an Archetypes podcast and several projects with streaming giant Netflix

"I think they will try to strike that balance as they see fit, but they may think that balance is struck in a different way than the royal family, and that's the point," Sacerdoti explained.

"By the way, it is their right, they have no obligation. It's just that people are judging them by where they strike that balance."

The royal expert also mentioned unconfirmed reports that Prince Harry intends to further delay the release of his memoirs.

"We have heard rumors about how Harry's book will be delayed," Sacerdoti said. We don't believe it has been confirmed, but we have heard that rumor."

"There could be many reasons for that. Perhaps he felt that now, while his father was settling down as king, or the queen had just died, was not the right time for his book to be published."

"Or perhaps he felt that the time was not right for his book to be published," Sacerdoti said. [Or perhaps he felt it was not an appropriate time to bring out his book while his father was settling down as king, or when the queen had just died. [Or perhaps because he intends to write more in the book. 27]

"And it may also cause problems for the royal family depending on how he tells it and how much of it is true or not."

However, Sacerdoti also offered another perspective: that the royal family may not be so worried by Harry after all.

"Of course, if Harry could put some rumors to rest and say that the rumors were wrong, that the speculation was wrong, things could be much better for them, and in fact, it could turn out very well for the new king.

"I think we need to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait and see."

Still, Sacerdoti thinks the theory is hopeless: "Most people certainly don't think he is a peacemaker in the book. I think he is signing a big contract for the book because he thinks the publishers will get the juicy details"

.

"So I think the book will be revised a bit to incorporate recent events and there is no reason why this book should not be within the framework of what it should represent."
