Kate Middleton, Surprising Health Benefits of Moving to Windsor?
Goodbye Kensington Palace, hello Adelaide Cottage; according to The Independent, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their new four-bedroom home, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis of Cambridge, moved into their new home this week and officially They appear to have become residents of Windsor.
"This is a decision made by the two parents to give their children as "normal" a start as possible," a royal source told The Independent. 'KP could be a bit of fish in a barrel. They wanted to give George, Charlotte and Louis a little more freedom than living in central London. It was a decision initiated by the children."
Although a very child-centered decision, "Hello! says, the move may have some unexpected health benefits for Kate as well. The Duchess of Cambridge has revealed many times that she has been allergic to horses all her life; at a polo match in 2009, Australian author Kathy Lett asked Kate why she did not play polo. Kate's answer was "because I'm allergic to horses."
Two years later, Clarissa Lew, wife of Santa Barbara Polo Club president Wesley Lew, told PEOPLE that Kate is trying to overcome her allergy by touching horses.
"I had a chance to have a conversation with Kate. I asked her if she was into polo before she met William. She said no. But she has been riding horses for a while and would like to play polo someday. She said, 'I'm actually allergic to it, but the more time I spend with horses, the less allergic I get.'"

Currently, Windsor has a polo field on its doorstep, and polo will be a big part of the family's life in the future, "Hello! reports. As a result, Kate will have even more exposure to horses because of the polo stadium's proximity. [The NHS explains that "small doses of allergens are given from time to time" to "help the body get used to the allergen and not react so badly to it," which, according to the NHS, "does not necessarily cure the allergy," but "can lessen the allergy and reduce the amount of medication can be done."
Since Adelaide Cottage is likely to be the Cambridges' long-term and foreseeable future home, perhaps a side benefit of the move will be that Kate will finally get to play polo with her husband William and possibly their children.
