Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette, celebrates her 11th birthday with champagne and cake on a private jet.
I often write about the royal family. British. Spaniards. Monegasques. [It was Karl Lagerfeld's Burman cat, Shpet.
The feline turned 11 and celebrated in a private jet with balloons, cake, champagne, bouquets of flowers, and more Karl Lagerfeld branded merchandise than you can imagine.
"Happy birthday," Shpet wrote on his official Instagram account.7]
"Thanks to @mypetagency for organizing this little party and @ibcaviation for providing the jet that stayed on the ground in Le Bourget! "
"Thanks to @karllagerfeld and @lucybalu for their support."
"Thanks for all the gifts!!!"
Schuppert now belongs to Françoise Cassaut, who was Lagerfeld's housekeeper and now apparently works as a feline ghostwriter; according to W magazine, the pet is rumored to have inherited the late designer's fortune, which would explain the Ruinart case.
It is clear that Choupette will continue to lead a charmed life with the Chanel designer after he passes away in 2019.
All celebrity pets are likely to be very spoiled, but it is hard to imagine anyone having as good a time as Shpet did and does.
In 2014, the cat debuted her falsies and manicures in collaboration with Shu Uemura. She also had a dedicated team of staff and, somehow, an iPad.
And in 2015, Shpet announced that she had earned 3 million euros in the previous year.
"She is the center of the world," her owner said at the time. 'You can tell by looking at her. She is like Greta Garbo. There is something unforgettable about the way she moves, the way she plays. She's an inspiration of elegance. In her posture." Well, awful.
