Meghan Markle helps distressed couple take selfie on hike
Imagine wandering through the wilderness on a hike (sorry, I literally cannot imagine such a thing).
Apparently, that's exactly what happened to Asimina Kantorovic and Ilija Pavlovic, who were struggling to take a picture with a selfie stick on New Year's Day, and Megan and Harry showed up to help.
"We have done this hike on New Year's Day for the past two years. We were out for a little picnic. We had finished and were about to take a selfie with a nice backdrop when a woman came up to us and asked if we wanted her to take our picture," Asimina told People (opens in new tab) (Note: CTV News (opens in new tab) first reported this story). 'We had noticed the group before. They had two dogs with them and we wanted to pet one."
Ironically, Asimina did not notice Megan at first and only realized she was among the celebrities when she saw Megan's friend and fellow "Suits" star Abigail Spencer.
"I'm a fan of 'Suits,' and I noticed Abigail first, then I looked up and realized it was Meghan in the picture. Then I looked back at the group and realized Prince Harry was there too!" She said. 'I couldn't believe who it was. Meghan was smiling and waiting for me to take her picture, and at that moment I was just in shock and in disbelief. All I was going to say to her was, 'There's only so much you can do with a selfie stick. ' She laughed and said something like, 'Well, you have to take good pictures,' and Harry said, 'No pressure.'"[10
Asimina confirmed that Meghan was "just super friendly," adding, "She and Harry looked really happy, like a happy newlywed couple. I wish baby Archie could have been there too! I hope they are enjoying their stay on Vancouver Island."
Looks like I better start hiking.
