Kate Middleton celebrates her birthday with friends at a fabulous fedora
Kate Middleton (open in new tab) is starting her birthday celebrations a little early this year.
The Duchess of Cambridge turns 38 this Thursday, but she and Prince William (open in new tab) are already celebrating. The royal couple will celebrate the occasion this weekend by entertaining close friends at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall.
According to People (opens in new tab), the guest list for the weekend also includes Kate's parents Carole and Michael Middleton (opens in new tab). Will's lifelong friend Tom Van Straubensee and his fiancée Lucy Lanigan-O'Keefe (she is also a teacher at Thomas Battersea, where Prince George and Princess Charlotte attend), and the couple's friend James Meade and his wife Laura were also there.
The most surprising names on the guest list, however, were undoubtedly David and Rose, the Marquess and Princess of Cholmondeley. Royal fans will remember that David and Rose were rumored to have been involved in an affair with the royal couple last year.
As royal writer Elizabeth Holmes noted on Instagram, this very public outing was apparently meant to put those rumors to rest.
On Sunday, guests of Will and Kate's party (open in new tab) attended a Sunday morning service at St. Mary Magdalen Church at Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham estate. Kate wore a fedora to celebrate her birthday for the occasion.
