Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Enjoy Their Most Public Date Ever at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards
Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn chose not to walk the red carpet together at the Golden Globe Awards this evening. However, the couple, who have been together for three years, sat next to each other during the awards ceremony and had several sweet moments during the broadcast.
Incidentally, this was their most public date night together, and the two have never sat next to each other at an awards ceremony where cameras could film.
They entered and walked to their seats together.
After Swift returned from her presentation with Amy Poehler, the two shared a warm smile.
They were also seen talking very comfortably during the show, as if they were invisible from the audience.
Swift also snuggled her arm around Alwyn's shoulder during the show.
Swift was nominated tonight and received a nomination for Best Original Song (Motion Picture) for "Beautiful Ghosts," written by Andrew Lloyd Webber for Cats. She ultimately did not win the award. Alwyn appeared in the film Harriet.
Swift and Alwyn have never walked the red carpet together and have kept their relationship mostly private... Dare. Swift told The Guardian about why she does not speak about Alwyn in interviews. 'I've learned that if I talk about it [my relationship with Alwyn], people think it's controversial, and our relationship is not controversial,' she told a reporter for The Guardian (opens in new tab) with a laugh (opens in new tab). 'If you and I were having a glass of wine right now, we would be talking about it. That's where the boundaries are and that's where my life has become manageable. I really want to keep it feeling manageable."
Swift attended last year's Golden Globe Awards with Alwyn, but the two were not seen interacting until the after party. Swift was also a surprise presenter at that show.
