What airlines does "The Bachelor" Peter Weber use?
We know that Peter Weber, the newest Bachelor, is a pilot. We know it because he wore a uniform in the first episode of The Bachelorette; because he actually took Hannah flying during a hometown date; and because of all the many, many puns and flying references that have littered the past two seasons. So who is Peter Weber flying for (opens in new tab), and is he a full pilot?" Here's what we know about Peter's profession.
Most people assume he is a private pilot because he and Hannah flew over their home and hometown of Westlake Village in their private plane. However, Peter is actually a commercial pilot. According to his Instagram, his family has (or at least rents) a private plane:
so obviously he is aware of all kinds of planes. However, his full time job is with an airline you may know...
In March 2018, he accepted Delta's offer, so it's been about 18 months since then.
And previously he worked for Compass Airlines (which is a regional airline).
According to his Instagram, he has been flying back for Delta since returning home after the show:
You can expect his season of "The Bachelor" to be filled with references to his job and Delta (you know, when women (when they're not making windmill puns). Prior to being announced as the star of The Bachelor, Peter had posted numerous photos on Instagram mentioning Delta and his work.
According to a source who spoke to "Reality Steve" (opens in new tab), it is very unusual to be a full captain at that young age (Peter is 27), although the timeline is condensed for a regional airline. Sources hint that Peter may have had help from his pilot father, but there is no proof that this was the case.
In any case, let's devote a little time to what really matters.
Anyone who has watched even a minute of Peter's season or the promo for it (open in new tab) is surely aware of the fact that Peter is flying the plane. In the promo, Peter pilots the plane over and over again throughout the season.
In Episode 1 alone, Peter is filmed piloting at least a couple of different airplanes. (Okay, I'll admit it. He really looked good doing it.)
