When Prince Harry and Princess Meghan announced plans to step down as senior members of the royal family (opens in new tab), the palace confirmed that a solution would be reached (opens in new tab) within days, not weeks.

On the third day of dialogue (open in new tab) between royal and government officials, a Buckingham Palace source told BAZAAR.com that Prince Harry will attend a family meeting (open in new tab) with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince William at Sandringham on Monday afternoon to "talk things discuss," he said.

Princess Meghan will likely participate by phone from Canada (opens in new tab), but the face-to-face summit follows a series of talks that will bring "a range of possibilities" to the table. According to sources, these options will "take into account the ideas of the Sussexes outlined earlier in the week. Any changes to the Duke and Duchess' working lives and role in the monarchy would require complex and thoughtful discussions."

Palace aides confirmed that the goal remains to announce a decision within days, not weeks, adding that "the next steps were agreed at the meeting and it remains His Majesty's wish that this be resolved at this pace."

News of Harry and Meghan's future (open in new tab) working model is still expected early next week, but do not expect sudden changes. Says the source, "There is real agreement and understanding that any decision will take time to be implemented."

Until then, work will continue, and a source tells BAZAAR.com that an event diary (opens in new tab) for the couple is still being prepared. On Thursday, January 16, when Prince Harry hosts the draw for the Rugby League World Cup 2021 at Buckingham Palace he continues his insistence that the sport will bring the community together. Prince Harry will be reunited with Princess Meghan and her son Archie in Victoria, Canada, a short time later.
