Kate Middleton is "incredibly hurt" by Prince Harry and "hates to see her husband upset."

How does Kate Middleton feel about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell announcement that they are stepping down as senior royals? Not very well! A source claims to Us Weekly (opens in new tab): "William was always there for Harry when he was down and having problems, as was Kate. Kate is also incredibly hurt. She has played a mentor role for Harry since before Megan came on the scene, and she hates to see her husband upset."

Meanwhile, William remains heartbroken by his brother's decision (open in new tab) to seek financial independence and spend half the year in North America. William has done everything in his power to help his brother over the years. ...... In his opinion, Harry has thrown back all the good advice he gave his brother."

Nevertheless, the reports about their relationship should be taken with a grain of salt. William and Harry were forced to issue a strongly worded statement about their relationship on Monday. In response to an article in The Times of London (headlined "Princes 'fell out because William was not friendly to Meghan'") that said William was not welcoming to Meghan and was "bullying" them both, the princes' statement read: "Despite explicit denials Despite this, a false article speculating about the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge was published today in a British newspaper. For brothers who care deeply about issues surrounding mental health, the use of such inflammatory language is offensive and potentially harmful"

.

The family will meet later today for a "summit" (open in new tab) to find a way forward, but apparently the Queen is "furious" but urges William and Harry to "unite". Stay tuned.
