Meghan Markle is seen for the first time since leaving her senior royal position.

It has only been six days since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced (open in new tab) that they plan to step down as senior members of the royal family. Today, we finally got a glimpse of Meg after the news broke.

This afternoon, the Daily Mail (opens in new tab) spotted the Duchess leaving the Vancouver Island home where she and Harry are vacationing with their son Archie (photos can be seen here (opens in new tab)). Of course, Princess Meghan has left home before to fly to England with Prince Harry, but this is the first time she has been publicly spotted.

The Duchess is wearing knee-high boots brown, DL1961 jeans (open in new tab), a Barbour hoodie (open in new tab), and a Cuyana bag (open in new tab). It is unclear where she is headed, but it is clear that the Queen supports her decision (open in new tab) to live a financially independent lifestyle with Prince Harry. According to a QE2 statement released yesterday, the Queen "understands their desire to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued member of my family."

Meghan seems incredibly happy and we hope that the next few weeks will bring more information about the Sussexes' future plans.
