John Krasinski and Emily Blunt accidentally snub Chris Martin

Well, this is interesting. Yesterday, singer Chris Martin appeared on the Ellen Show with the most hilarious (and unscheduled) story about Emily Blunt and John Krasinski completely going through with his "idea" for Quiet Place Part II. And John immediately rushed in to reply that it was a complete accident and oh, I love him even more now.

Let's get the story straight. Chris Martin had to share an episode (he apologized to Ellen that he had not told their researcher beforehand, but came up with the idea after the show aired the trailer for "The Quiet Place")." When "The Quiet Place" was released, the idea for the joke came to me afterwards. So I sent Emily Blunt and her husband the idea for a musical for "The Quiet Place." And I imitated playing the piano while singing [laughs]. And they never got back to me! So every time I see that trailer, it makes me sick." Ellen shared the exchange on Instagram, and the video said, "Did you get this message from Chris Martin?" and tagged Krasinski.

Krasinski quickly replied in the comments. He wrote: "I have not received an email from Chris Martin. He is a world treasure. Are you kidding me? Emily ...... What have you done!" I think my favorite part is that he immediately threw Brandt under the bus over this (which, by the way, is something my husband and I do all the time as a joke, so I had a moment of real recognition right there). Next time this couple meets Martin, I bet this will be a real joke.
