The Queen is all smiles in church after Harry and Meghan's statement on the royal exit

Queen Elizabeth (opens in new tab) is all smiles today following the release of an official statement regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's (opens in new tab) step back from the royal family.

In Saturday's statement, the queen wrote that after "months" of discussion about the new move, "I am pleased that together we have found a constructive and cooperative path for our grandchildren and their families."

"Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be beloved members of my family," the Queen continued in the release. 'I recognize the difficulties they have experienced as a result of the intense scrutiny they have been under over the past two years and support their desire for a more independent life.'

The Queen further thanked both Harry and Meghan (opens in new tab) for the work they have done for the Commonwealth and emphasized how proud she is of Meghan (opens in new tab), whom she said "has quickly become part of our family."

The Queen seems happier now that the details of Harry and Meghan's (opens in new tab) departure from royal duties have been agreed upon.

Her good mood was on display as she stepped out in Sandringham on Sunday morning on her way to church near her villa in Sandringham. The queen (open in new tab) attended a service at St. Mary the Virgin Church in Hillington, King's Lynn, England.
