New Comedy Series About the Royal Family Comes to HBO Max

While we've been preoccupied with the ordeal of "Meghan and Harry leaving the Royal Family (opens in new tab)," HBO Max has given the go-ahead for a new animated show titled "The Prince". The satirical comedy series is modeled after the very funny Instagram account (opens in new tab) of "Family Guy" producer and Instagram legend Gary Janetty.

Janetti, pretending to be Prince George, posts a collage of photos making fun of the current royal drama from the perspective of the future king. It's like Suri's Burn Book (opens in new tab).

According to Deadline (opens in new tab), the animated show, written and executive produced by Janetty, follows a cartoon version of the future king that teaches some of the secrets of the royal family and the British monarchy.

The series description states:

A comedic look at the childhood of the future King of England as seen by Janetti from the prince's own perspective, before George ruled Britannia. In each episode, George finds his way through life as a young prince in the present day, from the 775 rooms of Buckingham Palace, to the sea of family corgis, to the elementary school where the common people attend.

"I am excited to be working for HBO Max and to bring you a new series about a family ruthlessly battling for the throne," said Janetty (opens in new tab).

As for who will be voicing our favorite royals, the confirmed lineup includes:

In other words, an all-star team.

His Instagram fans already know that George is hilarious, shocking, and surprisingly sweet. We can't wait to see what Gary does when he paints on a larger canvas than just a 1:1 square."
