Lana Del Rey dating a sexy cop?
Lana Del Rey is known for making music that tugs at the heartstrings. She also started her own flower crown in 2012 alone, and don't even get me started on her influence on the winged eyeliner movement. Naturally, like all fans of Ms. Elizabeth Woolidge Grant (the newcomer's real name), we are curious to know who inspired the love stories that became the lyrics to some of her most beloved sad (and sometimes happy) songs. At this year's 62nd Grammy Awards, Del Rey won the "Norman Fucking Rockwell! and deservedly received nominations for Best Album of the Year and Best Song of the Year. But whether she wins or not, she was confirmed on Instagram (!) She'll be sharing the moment with her 46-year-old boyfriend, Sean "Stix" Larkin, and the couple has been spotted everywhere since an October interview with the Los Angeles Times (opens in new tab) in which they discussed their relationship.
Yes, you read that right. His Instagram profile (opens in new tab) may say "full-time popo," but when he's not working as a police officer in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he's an analyst for A&E's Live PD and the A&E show Live PD Presents PD CAM. He is also the host of the show.
On the show he (open in new tab) "explains what cops do and why they do it, as well as policies, procedures, and laws." When Del Rey is asked how fans react to her dating a cop, she responds, "He's a cop. He gets it. He sees both sides of things."
She also said, "I think it's a good thing that he's a cop, because he's a good guy.
Larkin may never have a daddy figure (he's really into CrossFit, we can tell!) ), he has two children. He has a heartwarming post dedicated to his 22-year-old daughter and teenage son.
As for how they feel about their father dating a music mogul, let's just say this: when their picture first leaked online, his daughter took to Twitter to let everyone know how she really felt. Because if your father was spotted out with Lana Del Rey, it's the perfect opportunity to flex that Del Rey could be your family's next dinner guest.
Del Rey is not very active when it comes to social media, but she and her new beau made it official on Instagram when they posted a photo in December. The photo showed Larkin kissing the "Born to Die" singer on the head backstage at one of her concerts.
The two were photographed strolling through Central Park in September (open in new tab). In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Ray explained that he did not know they were seen together at the time. He said, "I didn't know I was being photographed. I might have been wearing different clothes," he joked.
And moving beyond A. Rod (open in new tab) - Larkin knows what it takes when it comes to posing for the 'gram. The basic requirements are a good smile (have you seen those pearly teeth?), an understanding of the importance of great lighting, and being willing to do whatever it takes to pose. Now you're ready to submit!
