John Legend won his 11th Grammy last night with DJ Khaled and the late Nipsey Hussle for "Higher." (Legend, along with Meek Mill, Roddy Rich, Kirk Franklin, DJ Khaled, and YG, performed at the awards ceremony to honor Hustle.) And Legend and Chrissy Teigen (open in new tab) knew how to celebrate: the after-party They danced and sang Ariana Grande's "NASA" as they prepared. Teigen posted a video of the cute moment on Twitter, writing, "11rh Grammys. Congrats. (Yes, "11rh." LOL 11rh."
"NASA" has long been a stalwart in the Teigen-Legend family; remember back in December when Teigen posted a video (opens in new tab) on her Instagram story of herself and daughter Luna Stevens singing together? Their loyalty to the song is why I, the diligent reporter for Teigen-Legend News, have made it a permanent fixture on my monthly playlist. Ariana! You owe this family a check!
Both Teigen and Legend mourned all night for Kobe Bryant, who died with his daughter Gianna in a helicopter crash on Sunday. Teigen tweeted (open in new tab), "I feel like nothing could be more unimportant than what we are doing today, right now downtown." 'This is truly awful. Everyone is numb." After the night was over, she posted (opens in new tab), "home. kissed my family hard tonight. love you guys."
Legend echoed the sentiment, tweeting (opens in new tab), "I am so sad and stunned right now. I am preparing to pay tribute to another wonderful man we lost too soon, Nipsey Hustle, at Staples Arena, where Kobe created so many memories for all of us. Life can be cruel and meaningless at times. Hang on to your loved ones. We will miss you, Corby."
