Priyanka Chopra pays tribute to Kobe Bryant with nail art at the Grammy Awards
Priyanka Chopra looked radiant in an embellished and fringed white gown at the Grammy Awards, but a closer look might have revealed a poignant reference to the devastating news that left a dark cloud over the evening's event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Chopra wore the number "24" on his fingernails as a tribute to the late basketball legend, after the jersey number made famous by Kobe Bryant. On Sunday morning, hours before the Grammy Awards were to be held, Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash (opens in new tab) along with eight passengers, including his 13-year-old daughter, Giana.
Chopra revealed on Instagram that the number honors Bryant, writing: "#RIPMamba" along with a heart emoji and a close-up photo of her nails with "24" written on them, along with Bryant's retired Lakers jersey It is named after Bryant's retired Lakers jersey.

The Jonas Brothers are attending the Grammy Awards because they are nominated for their song "Sucker," but following Bryant's death, all three Cancelled. Says Sharon Osbourne, who was a correspondent for the Grammys: "I was going to interview the Jonas Brothers tonight, but they are in shock, so I canceled all interviews," People says.
