Blake Lively tells Ryan Reynolds about being caught with a handsome Italian (hand therapist).

Blake Lively is in the midst of promoting her new movie, "The Rhythm Section," and she is constantly sharing great stories about her family and her work. Last night, she appeared on "The Tonight Show" starring Jimmy Fallon and shared the long, awful, and horrifying saga of how she completely "broke" her hand while filming the movie.

It all started when she accidentally punched Jude Law in the elbow instead of the face (I hate this end already). 'I tore off this ligament, which caused my finger joints to drop. Then I dislocated these two bones and broke some bones,' she explained (OW). 'My hand basically turned into party confetti. It was like (pantomime of an explosion) the moment we made contact," she told Fallon (GAHH).

Two surgeries later, she is in a better place, but Lively says more seriously: "I gave my right hand for this movie!"

[6 And while at the doctor's, she decides to play all the "dad jokes": "Look at the other him!" She laughed.

And her husband, Ryan Reynolds (FYI, they never both work at the same time), came to visit a few days after she started filming. He was lying awake in bed while she was undergoing intense hand therapy with her super-hot therapist, Pierre Luisi. She heard this handsome Italian man yell at her, "Inspiration!" and she was worried about what Reynolds would think of her screaming "Inspiration!"

This story begins around 2:30 in this video, if you want to watch it:

And Lively, while Reynolds comforted her, was high on painkillers and in the hospital in November. Shared a photo (opens in new tab) of herself recovering:

I love those two so much.
