Meghan Markle "actively seeking" a manager or agent.
Legendary "Suits" actress Meghan Markle is making a return to the business world. The Duchess, who recently retired from royal duties and moved to Canada (open in new tab), is reportedly looking for an agent or manager now that she and Harry are making moves to become "financially independent."
"Meghan is actively seeking an agent. She's starting to work on it," a source told Us Weekly (opens in new tab). 'It could be a manager or an agent, but she is reaching out to people to find someone to represent her for future professional projects.'
While it is unlikely that Princess Meghan will join the cast of The Crown anytime soon, it seems likely that she and Prince Harry will begin working on professional projects in line with their charitable work. In fact, it has already been reported that Meghan has signed a voice-over contract with Disney in exchange for a donation to "Elephants Without Borders" (open in new tab).
Prince Harry was even caught on camera at the premiere of "The Lion King" pitching Meghan's job to Disney CEO Bob Iger (opens in new tab), where Iger said, "You know she does voice acting, right?" Did you know that?""" I heard him say, "You seem surprised, but yeah, she's really interested.
Interestingly, according to E! the two want to spend the summer in Meghan's hometown of Los Angeles: "They started looking at houses online and are interviewing security teams. They have started looking at houses online and are in the process of interviewing with a security team. They want to reach out to people in Los Angeles and build a team of locals."
In other words, if you want to get back into TV and film, there is no better place than LA.
