Demi Lovato's National Anthem Performance Makes Super Bowl History
Lost in the middle of a huge football field, singing the national anthem in front of millions of spectators, sounds like the most stressful experience ever. Frankly, there are only a few people who can handle it, and Demi Lovato is 100 percent one of them.
Demi brought her amazing voice to the 2020 Super Bowl and completely nailed the national anthem in one of her first live performances (opens in new tab) since stepping out of the spotlight after her July 2018 overdose (she also recently performed at the Grammy Awards performance):
And Demi's fans are completely gawking at how perfect her performance was. Let's put together a tweet of support and feel good about life:
Demi confirmed her performance on Instagram just a few weeks ago and said (opens in new tab) that she was super nervous - especially compared to singing at the Grammys: "The National Anthem, if I mess up, everyone They come after me. For the anthem, if I mess up, people come after me. But there is a lot of pressure for the national anthem. With my song, if I get the lyrics wrong, no one will know because it hasn't been released yet."
FYI, Demi is part of this year's insane lineup (open in new tab) thanks to Jennifer Lopez and Shakira headlining the halftime show.
