Spoilers ahead for The Bachelor. A few key contestant names from Peter Webber's Bachelor season are starting to emerge, one of which is Sydney Hightower, who has been quietly making her way through the season, though she has so far barely appeared in the drama.

Could she be this season's dark horse, like Katie Morton in Colton Underwood's season?

Unlike many other Bachelor contestants who set their Instagram profiles to public after filming the show, Hightower's was set to private (open in new tab) until recently. She quickly gained over 20,000 followers and seems to have had a good experience on the show. Tonight is the beginning of this amazing journey that I was able to be a part of."

We know one cool thing about Hightower. She's actually not the only contestant from Alabama this season - Madison Prewett, who is also rumored to be active, is also from Alabama - but Hightower and Brown were classmates at Tuscaloosa County High School. In fact, they were there at the same time. So when Brown has appeared this season (twice!) I thought it was going to be awkward when he showed up:

The Bachelor crammed two episodes into the first week of February, one Monday and one Wednesday.

She passes through Cleveland, Costa Rica, and most of Chile, not to mention the infamous two-on-one date that tends to happen at the top of the season, but Hightower is eventually sent home with a rose ceremony that will air in Wednesday's episode.

In one of the only instances I've seen on the show where one contestant critiques another contestant in order for Bachelor or Bachelorette to win the rose, Hightower was candid with Weber about her concerns about Benavidez-namely, she didn't think he was and (you guessed it) wasn't here for the right reasons. Weber, being faithful to Hightower, gave him a rose on the group date and excluded Benavides.

But then! Benavides was resurrected and previews showed Weber declaring that someone had lied to him. Despite this...

I won't spoil who won, but at least Hightower made the top 12. She is one to watch. The top contestants (as well as the occasional funny contestant from the first night) may appear on other Bachelor shows like Bachelor in Paradise. If memory serves, Connor Ceri (open in new tab), who became a fan favorite after appearing on BiP and briefly dating Whitney Fransway, was a Top 12 contestant before self-dropout. Even if Hightower didn't win Weber's heart, we may see her again.
