Chrissy Teigen and John Legend recreate the infamous "90 Day Fiancé" scene.
By now, you know that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend (opens in new tab) love nothing more than recreating pop culture. Remember their stunning 2017 recreation of "The Devil Wears Prada" (opens in new tab) or their commitment to "Luigi's Mansion 3" (opens in new tab) last month (opens in new tab)? Well, the Twitter monarchs did it again on Tuesday, this time directing their interpretive gifts to the inimitable "90-Day Fiancée."
First, some background. The new collection of Teigen's kitchenware line, Cravings by Chrissy Teigen, was launched at Macy's. You may recall the infamous fight between Darcy Silva and Jesse Meester, the ill-fated couple from 90 Day Fiancé. It ended very badly for Meester:
So how does Chrissy, John, and Chrissy Teigen's "Cravings" come into play? Well, what better way to promote a new cutting board than to recreate a dramatic moment with it? Cut it at an angle. I yelled at him. Behold:
Teigen and Legend end the compelling short film with a touching exchange by the pool. A pensive Legend grumbles, "Hey, baby, dinner's ready." And the words I would insist on inscribing on my tombstone if I were Legend: "The steak should have been mine." Breathtaking. Academy Award-worthy.
