Blake Lively uses her kids as weights in her morning workout
You may not be able to relate as a human parent, but you certainly can as a parent of a very clingy cat: Blake Lively works out with her kids (opens in new tab), she told Vanity Fair. Yes, she probably meant that she exercises with the occasional child in her arms, not that she does bicep curls with a human child on each fist, but I'm inclined to believe the latter.
Lively spoke to Vanity Fair about his routine during the filming of his latest movie, The Rhythm Section. 'I would say an average day on set was getting up at 5:00 a.m. We would have breakfast together, play together. We would have breakfast together, play together, work out together. I didn't want to get up any earlier. I'm not Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I just had to get some sleep."
"So I would actually get up and work out with my girls," she explained. Instead of wearing a weighted vest, I use my daughters as weights." Instead of wearing a weighted vest, I started wearing my kids."
On nights during filming, there was more singing for Lively while folded up in her crib with her little humans than there were weights for them. She said, "My kids, to be honest with you, they don't sleep. We have to do something about it. 'My kids had a pack-and-play, almost like a crib. Almost every night I slept there."
Salvation came in the form of Ryan Reynolds, Lively said. "And my husband came over and said, 'Hey, you're all right. You can come to bed.' I'm completely drained of energy just reading this, Blake! Should I go back to bed?
