Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer were in the same restaurant, but left seconds apart.
Woo, this is intriguing! Jennifer Aniston and her ex-boyfriend John Mayer were spotted together in the same restaurant and left the restaurant just a short distance apart. I want details: did they talk? Did they talk? Are they friends? What would Brad Pitt say (opens in new tab)? (And to those who claim that this is no big deal and that we are simply obsessed with nothing, yes, I am not going to apologize for loving Jennifer Aniston.)
According to JustJared, "The two stars were spotted leaving the same restaurant, the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles, just seconds apart on Thursday night (February 6)."
They were not dining together, but interacting in their own groups. They were not dining together, but were seen interacting in their own groups. But if you're wondering why people are freaking out about this, it's not just because they dated from 2008 to 2009. It's because Mayer's comments after the breakup were not kind (opens in new tab): "In a way, I wish I could have stayed with her. But it doesn't change the fact that I have to be 32." Oh dear.
And this: [If Jennifer Aniston knew how to use BitTorrent, I would eat my shoes. There were rumors that she dumped me because I tweeted too much. But it made a big difference: ...... The brunt of her success was before TMZ and Twitter. I think she still wants to go back to 1998. She saw my involvement in technology as a courtship of distraction.
Sigh. At the time, Jennifer had a snappy rebuttal to his comments: "He had to go public with his breakup with me. He had to announce that he broke up with me. He's not just some girl he's dating. I understand. We're people, too." (Obviously, she was much nicer about this. She's very classy.) So if they did talk, who the hell knows what they told each other?
For those interested, here is a photo of the two of them in the restaurant side by side.
