DL1961 Jeans, Meghan Markle's Favorite Jeans, Now Available at Nordstrom

Meghan Markle loves her DL1961 jeans - we saw her wearing them on a recent trip to Luminary Bakery (opens in new tab) and on a trip to South Africa in 2019. She has also been seen wearing these jeans since moving to Vancouver Island (opens in new tab).

Well, great news. Because now you can have your very own pair. (Seriously, I did so when Megan's Le Specs sunglasses re-released (opens in new tab) and regretted it forever.)

Denim typically uses thousands of gallons of water in the production process, often with toxic chemicals, placing a huge burden on the environment; the average DL1961 jeans use less than 10 gallons of water.

DL1961 has a "vertically integrated, in-house power generation facility" with efficient machinery and uses clean dyes, water-efficient plant fibers, and ethically sourced organic cotton (which has less environmental impact than regular cotton, FYI).

So the fact that they are low-rise probably irks some people (opens in new tab). I myself have had a deep, deep hatred of low-rise jeans since middle school.

But full disclosure, I have actually tried Emma's. I've seen how soft the jeans are, and how stretchy and comfortable they are, and somehow, magically, they stay where they are supposed to be. I can see why Megan likes these jeans so much, it's like living in my PJ's but being able to wear them out and about!

The lighter blue is available at Nordstrom and the darker Albany blue at Zappos; DL1961 has more colors (opens in a new tab), but make sure they have your size.

And then go grab one of your own. I guarantee you'll love it.
