Despite our prayers, pleas, and hopes, Jennifer Aniston will most likely not be attending this year's Academy Awards. Thus, another Jen/Brad clash (open in new tab) like the one at the SAGs that dominated the national spotlight will not be in our future.

Frankly, the only reason they were both in the same room at the SAGs and the Globes was thanks to Aniston's nomination for "The Morning Show" and Pitt's for "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." We saw two of our favorite interactions at the SAGs only because TV and film were honored on the same night.

I mean, I think the whole country gasped in unison when Pitt was caught watching Aniston accept the award for "Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series."

But the 92nd Academy Awards is a night to celebrate movies and the people in them. So it is unlikely that Aniston will show up on the red carpet, despite not being nominated. Nevertheless, we won't dash any dreams. This is one of the biggest events of the year, where every celebrity on the planet seems to gather under one roof to celebrate everyone's success. I mean, they even attended this event together in 2000 (opens in new tab) (the photo below is proof).

So we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for the SAGs follow-up moment. Until then, we'll just gaze at these photos.
