Jenna Dewan files for name change following divorce from Channing Tatum.
Jenna Deewan (open in new tab) is moving forward with returning to her maiden name.
According to ET Online (opens in new tab), court records confirm that the actress' attorney has filed an ex parte petition to change her name back to "Jenna Lee Dewan" following her divorce from Channing Tatum (opens in new tab). The papers were filed Friday, officially removing Tatum's last name from Dewan's legal name.
Dewan and Tatum announced their separation (open in new tab) in April 2018 after eight years of marriage; their divorce was finalized last November. The exes are committed to co-parenting their 6-year-old daughter, Everly, and have agreed to share custody on a 50-50 basis.
Sources close to the pair told ET that they are working with a counselor to develop a formal plan for separating holidays with Everly in the future. This news comes after Tatum asked the court to intervene (open in new tab) in November to help determine a holiday visitation schedule.
Both Dewan and Tatum have found happiness with others. Tatum is dating singer Jessie J. Dewan is expecting a child with her boyfriend, Steve Kazee.
