Kate Middleton wears military-style skirt suit for a rainy day out
With their busy schedules, active members of the Royal Family rarely attend joint events, but one of those rare occasions will take place this morning. Today, Prince William and Kate Middleton will accompany Prince Charles and his wife Camilla on their visit to Leicestershire, where they will tour a rehabilitation center for military personnel.
Unfortunately, the sun did not shine much on their trip. As Victoria Murphy reported from the Loughborough site (opens in new tab): "Despite heavy hail before arrival, by the time the royals walked from their car to the £300 million center, the weather had improved.
Kate was clearly prepared for inclement weather. The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Defense Medical Rehabilitation Center dressed in a navy blue jacket and skirt with military-style buttons by Alexander McQueen. She paired it with a small top handle bag, black heeled boots, and gloves. Kate also wore her hair half up and half down on this occasion to better show off her drop earrings.

During today's visit, the royal foursome will visit the prosthetics workshop and meet with patients and staff at the facility. They will also attend a reception and unveil a commemorative plaque.
Prince William, who was a patron of the charity that raised funds for the new rehabilitation center, said in a statement, "I have seen an idea grow into what it is today, and I am delighted to be a part of it.
