Penn Badgley, best known for his roles as Dan on "Gossip Girl" and Joe in "You," has remained silent about his love life in recent years. He is most famous for his relationships with "Gossip Girl" co-stars Blake Lively and Zoe Kravitz, but in 2014 Badgley settled down with Domino Kirk (open in new tab). Kirk, a midwife and singer, has connections beyond the showbiz world and is the sister of Jemima Kirk.

Here is what we know about the modest couple, who are expecting their first child.

In an Instagram post in early February, Kirk opened up about the two losses that preceded this pregnancy. She wrote, "It takes everything I have to lovingly detach from the losses I have witnessed and place myself in the midst of my own experiences."

She also posted two photos on her Instagram Story that referenced her pregnancy: one showed her glowing in overalls and visibly pregnant, and the other showed her and Badgley in bed with their "first baby," a rescue puppy It was.

Kirk, a British-American, has a famous sister you've probably already heard of: Jemima Kirk of Girls. Kirk's sister Laura is also an actress and appeared in Gone Girl. Her father, Simon Frederick St. George Kirk, is the drummer for the bands Free and Bad Company.

Kirk is a singer with a famous father resemblance; as reported in Bustle (opens in new tab), Kirk has recorded music with Mark Ronson and her work has been featured by Lena Dunham.

On her last album, Beyond Waves, released in 2017, Badgley was sweetly supportive on social media:

According to Badgley, strictly speaking, the couple had two celebrations: a quiet court wedding and a grand reception courtesy of Kirk's mother.

In a rare interview on the topic, Badgley told People (open in new tab) that his path to spirituality led him to Kirk." I don't think I could really value human love until I developed the love of God, " he said. '[Domino and I] had a very romantic beginning. I think by getting married, you discover what it is that sustains a marriage for decades.
