Ashley Graham posts candidly on Instagram about her post-baby body.

It's the year 2000, and those who have just given birth are besieged by unreasonable expectations of how their bodies will look and feel after they have expelled another human being. I don't have time for that at all." new mom Ashley Graham posted a photo of her postpartum body (opens in new tab) on Instagram, along with a candid insight into her postpartum recovery.

"Raise your hand if you didn't know you had to change your own diapers too," Graham, who welcomed Isaac with her husband, Justin Ervin, in January, captioned the photo. 'After being in fashion for so many years, I could never have imagined that disposable underwear would become my go-to outfit! No one talks about the recovery and healing (yes, including the messy parts) that new moms experience. I just wanted to show everyone that it's not all rainbows and butterflies!"

Throughout her pregnancy, Graham made it her mission to dispel harmful myths and unrepresentative depictions of the pregnant body; in August, shortly after announcing her pregnancy with Irvin (in a painfully adorable video), she shared a naked photo on Instagram with the caption "same same but a little different," with the caption "different. The post, which featured unretouched stretch marks, was applauded by followers and, at the time of writing, had nearly 1.5 million likes at the time of writing.

In October, she released a gorgeous nude video on Instagram (opens in new tab), saying, "I'm getting bigger and bigger and trying to embrace my new body every day. It is a journey and I am so grateful to have such a supportive community," she wrote. Ashley, I'm sure there are many others who are just as grateful as you are!
